Breathing Rythm

A good breathing rythm is essential for long distance running. My approach is to breathe in two times and exhale one time. That is "In, In, Out". "In, In, Out". The breathing rythm should be coordinated with the steps. E.g. the legs will go left, right, left while I am breathing in the rythm of "In, In, Out".

You can breathe in by both mouth and nose and breathe out by your mouth. Efforts should be made to exhale the air in the lungs instead of trying hard to breathe in. If you exhale fully, air will rush in automatically to your lungs while you are breathing in. What I mean "trying hard" doesn't means you use much efforts to exhale out the air, the key is to breathe in and out as natural as possible and in a relax manner to save energy.
